Farewell my Lady in Jin County by Wang An Shi (translation)

A Song Dynasty poem by Wang An Shi (1021 – 1086)

Farewell my Lady in Jin County by Wang An Shi

I am but thirty but already a feeble man

I answer to the grief that fills these eyes

Tonight the boat comes for me to leave you

In life as in death we will be east and west
