The poet Cui Dao Rong lived during the late Tang Dynasty of China.  His dates are unknown.

The Gull on the River by Cui Dao Rong (Tang Dynasty)

The white bird is perching on a wave

Too idle for flight at the sight of man

For its heart is set on seeking a fish

Not lingering for the love of water

江鷗。崔道融

白鳥波上棲,見人懶飛起。

為有求魚心,不是戀江水。
