To my Husband by Chen Yu Lan (translation)

Chen Yu Lan was a female poet  of the Tang Dynasty.  Her dates are unknown.

To My Husband by Chen Yu Lan (Tang Dynasty)

You are guarding the border while I am still in Wu

I can feel the west wind blowing as I think of you

Each line in my letter is a thousand lines of tears

Will the clothes arrive before the cold reaches you?

寄夫。陳玉蘭

夫戍邊關妾在吳,西風吹妾妾憂夫。

一行書信千行淚,寒到君邊衣到無?

About Mary Tang

An urban orchardist everyday, a volunteer regularly, a poet sometimes and a blogger since March 2015. I travel when I can. Food is a constant.
