Spring Snow by Dong Fang Qiu (translation)

Overnight it snowed in Vancouver, Canada.  My brother sent me photographs of snow covered trees and it reminded me of this Tang Dynasty poem.  I have translated it from Chinese to English.

Spring Snow by Dong Fang Qiu

Spring snow came from a snow filled sky

Falling like flowers wherever they rest

Hard to tell which tree in the garden

Carries the true blossoms of the plum

(c)Mary Tang 鄧許文蘭 2017

The original in Chinese:

春雪。東方虬

春雪滿空來,觸處似花開。

不知園裏樹,若個是真梅。
