Around the World in Twelve Months

When I started this blog with WordPress a year ago, I was content with having a place to put my writing.  Like having a pigeon hole for my manuscripts, a desk at a study hall or a quiet room in a library.

I hadn’t expected the bouquets of flowers from gardens all over the world, spring blooms in mid winter, snow laden trees and frost covered forests in the midst of our summer heat.  Here are produce and cuisines from exotic kitchens.  Here are handwork and artwork and architecture and dumps. Here are artists and poets, writers and photographers sharing everyday wonders and awesome moments.  The music’s been splendid though we moan and groan too – why not; we’re human.

The most delightful surprise is the number of faces that visit me frequently or sometimes.  I know that here, as in any public place, we meet and greet and even sit with each other awhile then one day, some will inexplicably disappear.  Life moving us in different directions.  I am glad to have seen you, met you or even know you a little, while we’re here.
