Bad Medical Practice

Look after yourself because if you rely on a GP, you are in for a rough ride.  At best, they’ll take your money and refer you to someone else (A LOT of someone else if you’re really sick) but if you are unlucky, like me, you’ll get elevated blood pressure just by speaking to her receptionist.

Since The Ancient One retired, I’ve had to go to a new GP at Cremorne Medical Practice.

“We are a team of committed and experienced family doctors, nurses and support staff working together to set new standards in patient care and practice administration.”   From my experience, that is a lie.

The last time I went to see her my blood pressure went up.  Why?  First, before I left home I received a message to let me know that Doctor is running late; how nice, I thought.  Then another message saying she’s further delayed, then another and another.  When I arrived at the clinic there was still a 25minutes wait.  The best part of AN HOUR was lost in the dilly dallying.  I accepted it with good grace.

Today I received a call from the receptionist about my appointment.  I did not turn up at exactly the time of my appointment.  How dare a patient be 10 minutes late – SORRY  – DOCTOR IS VERY BUSY and we’ll have to reschedule or you’ll have to see someone else.  I said FORGET IT.

I’ll have to look for a new new GP.  I miss The Ancient One.

Meanwhile, I’ll have to look after myself.
