After ‘River Snow’ 江雪 by Liu Zongyuan 柳宗元( 反譯)

I tried to translate Liu’s poem from Chinese to English and in the end reversed the line order and created a different poem.  That’s why I called it 反譯 instead of 翻譯。No, it’s not a typo. :)  I have attached the original text below the reversed translation.

Alone I fish the cold river snow

In the sole keel cloaked in straw

No trace of man for miles

All birds flown from view

(c) Mary Tang 2015

千山鳥飛絕

萬徑人蹤滅

孤舟蓑笠翁

獨釣寒江雪
