Forever 永恆

This is my Chinese translation of Robert’s Okaji’s poem, Forever. My reading is in Cantonese.


永恆

我犬逃雷
躲於床下

日出破雲
我預永生

每刻是天
每日一星

風樹同舞
齊聲歡曰

此乃吾勞
獨此

O at the Edges

Forever

Our dogs hide under the bed,
escaping thunder.

But the sun shatters
a cloud and I know

we will live forever.
Each hour is the sky,

every day, another
star. Now the trees

join the wind
in rejoicing. This

is what we make,
they say. Only this.
